Foundation Scholarship Principles

The Taliban took the life of this affable and noble young man in the prime of his life, but they created a hero whose memory will not fade as he continues to inspire us all. The main purpose of this charity is to serve as a college scholarship fundraiser. The Board of Directors vote on applications that exemplify the traits that became the hallmark of Mark's legacy:

  • Selfless actions helping others

  • Demonstrated team-building skills

  • Evidence of overcoming adversity

  • Strong display of servant leadership

  • Commitment to extra-curricular activities

CMGMF Scholarships are provided to students at Mark's Alma Mater at Sinton High School in TX, and CMGMF Service Scholarships are presented to 10 graduating NJROTC Cadets from Norfolk and Virginia Beach VA Area Five NJROTC Units.

Since inception scholarships totaling over $200,000.00 have been awarded to exceptional students who exemplify the traits listed above.
